After observing causes of current conditions in Zimbabwe, way back, before most people could appreciate what was going on, I was gripped with desperation, feeling incapacitated. I was not a politician. I was not a preacher. I was not identified with the educated of this world. But I could discern that most people including politicians and religionists took comfort in identifying with the very causes of the current despondency. I was convinced of the scriptural meaning in the book of Proverbs “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death” (Prov. 14:12 ESV).
Everywhere I looked, including the internet, I could hardly find a preacher truly identifying with my understanding in human relations. Instead, I could see that the very essence of denominationalism in Christianity was a reflection of the causes associated with the deteriorating state of our country’s economy. Without any other way of projecting my voice, I ventured into writing in 2005.
My first book, The Seed of all Evil vs. The Seed of True Love, got published by the University of Zimbabwe publications in 2008, coinciding with the collapse of our currency, as the inflation soured into disproportional levels. The sales of that book were just as good as giving it away for free, as its value was swallowed up in uncontrollable inflation. The reprint could not be achievable without financing.
I embarked on a second project, attempting to self-publish through the internet. Freedom from the Dungeons of Human Slavery was published in 2010, meeting with dismal failure due to lack of desirable platform and funding. The instinct to write continued to nudge me to soldier on, leading to the current product, Dimensions of a New Civilization now on the verge of publication. Through this website I intend to draw traffic into the pattern of my writing, so that when the book comes out, many readers would identify with it; thereby benefiting from its content.
By subscribing to this blog, you will be privileged to receive a bi-weekly newsletter that will also keep subscribers informed of the developments leading to the publication of that book, in less than two months. Subscribers are free to share, as all manner of objective communication is welcomed and valued, without considering that there could be foes among fellow humans. “Iron Sharpens Iron, and one man sharpens another.” (Prov. 27:17 ESV).

Andrew Masuku is the author of the soon to be published book, Dimensions of a New Civilization, which lays down standards for uplifting Zimbabwe from the current state of economic depression, into becoming a model to other countries worldwide. A decaying tree provides an opportunity for a blossoming sprout. Written from a Christian perspective, the book is a product of inspiration, bringing reliefs, to those having witnessed the strings of unworkable solutions––leading to the current economic and social instability. In a simple conversational tone, most Zimbabwean readers will find the book to be a long-awaited providential oasis of hope.
